Currently in March AND Freebie :)

I have to brace myself for March. It seems like the longest month of the year- no holidays off, the realization that testing is just around the corner, and there are only about  three months left of school. It just feels like a stressful time of the year, almost like the first month of school. Therefore, I brace myself for March.
Thanks to Farley's Currently for getting me into the spirit of each month and on some sort of blogging schedule.

Listening- to the Voice blind auditions. My hubby enjoys watching and listening to the all (and I me all) the hopefuls audition. I enjoy how fun Adam and Blake's interaction is on the show, they are hilarious.

Loving- a couple of weeks ago it was in the 80's here in Southern California and it's been in the cool 60's this weekend. So much fun to enjoy comfort foods and cuddle with my pooches next to the fire.

Thinking- I have about a total of 8 galvanized tubs/buckets ready for planting. I am hoping to get to that project next weekend. One of my favorites is a large vintage galvanized tub that I hope to plant some herbs and veggies.

Wanting- Spring! I love all the flowers and pastel decorations. It makes my soul happy!

Needing- yeah, I should be working on report cards. Starting is always the most difficult part. But, once I finish with this post I promise to get started.

Spring Break- I know it sounds pretty boring, but my hubby and I have lots of DIY projects that we have either started or need to start. I have to say- I'm pretty excited to get stuff done.

Ready for Valentine's Day?

We wanted to create a "Reading to Learn" booklet that would be perfect for close reading this coming week. As we all know,  keeping our students attention so close to such a special holiday is tough- so Wendie and I decided to write an informational booklet about the heart in hopes that it would help.

You can download for FREE for the next 24 hours and please let us know what you think.

February Currently

Where did January go? This past month is a complete blur... it just flew by. Maybe that's why I haven't posted since January 1st?!! (sigh).
Thanks Farley, from Oh' Boy 4th Grade for getting me back on my blog and setting some new goals for blogging. A great way to get back on track is with Currently, YaY!

Listening: I love "Thinking out Loud" by Ed Sheeran. The lyrics are so beautiful to me- loving that special person in the present, no matter how old, strong, or popular.
"When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks..."

Loving: Went to Vintique Alley in Riverside with Wendie and saw some lovely antique/junky/old items. Totally things I love!! I bought this sign to add to my Valentine's Day decor.

Thinking: It's time to update my miniature garden. My plants have done really well, but I want to change up the miniatures I have. Maybe something Valentine-ish or I really love the idea of a farm scene.

Wanting: After 20 years of teaching I realized that the most comfortable shoes for me are flats. I love  booties for fall/winter and flats for Spring/Summer.  So, I start now looking for the most perfect flats to get me through the school year and keep my footsies happy. I have been trying to find the perfect pink flats. I really want a perfect combination of pink/nude and comfort. Any suggestions?

Needing: My students love STEM activities and I need to find one that works well for Valentine's Day. Have you used any STEM activities that you or your students have enjoyed and learned from?

Pageant Title: I have become an expert online shopper and it is seldom for me to step foot in a store. I love the ease and convenience of online shopping-plus I love being able to find the best price.

Currently 2015

Ugh! I seriously dislike making New Years Resolutions. Mainly, because I hate the feeling of failure :( With that being said, I love sharing and reading others "Currently" and it doesn't completely feel like a resolution list, right? Thanks Oh Boy Fourth Grade for sharing.

Check back on Friday for a FABULOUS SoCal Blog Hop!
