Chapter 1 Passion
What about teaching are we truly passionate about?
That one is easy- the kids! Our profession allows us to enjoy special milestones, new learning, and those Aha moments on a daily basis. Our favorite quote "Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things." Wow!
I am excited to continue reading about this book! I am ordering it with Amazon. With your enthusiasm about it, I am inspired! I have been teaching for 22 years (4th and 5th) grades. This next year, I am moving to a new school and teaching 3rd! I should be more excited for the change, but I am terrified!!! I want them to get my jokes and I want them to be responsible. I want to read this book so that I can find the inspiration I need to get ready for September! All summer I have just been moving rooms and unpacking boxes! I will start tackling the curriculum in the next weeks! Thanks for your ideas!
ReplyDeleteDarilyn I wish you the best of luck. I know how tough it can be to change schools and on top of that a new grade level. I had been in upper grade for quite some time and this past school year I taught third grade. I was not that excited at first, but it was one of my best years ever. Good luck to you.
